Ripley's Children's Board Books! Believe It or Not...
When you think of Ripley's Believe It Or Not!, what's the first thing that comes to mind?
For me, it's those crazy pics of people with strange facial tattoos, long fingernails, weird cars and all those things that must be fake but aren't. But did you know that they have a children's line of books? I didn't either until recently.
Ripley's offers a wide range of books incorporating the strange and unusual. Most of you may recognize their annual books but they also offer activity books, adult and children's books, including Fun Facts & Silly Stories, Curioddities, Twist series, RBI series and More.
So Ripley's Publishing has finally expanded once again. This time they have expanded their children's genre and introduced 2 new board books, the company's first!
Ripley's Believe It or Not! ODDphabet and Ripley's Believe It or Not! Wacky 1-2-3, are suitable for ages 3 and up.
Ripley's Believe It or Not! ODDphabet is so cute and definitely engaging and engrossing. It's a 6x6 inch board book with a fun waved trim. The book is thick and sturdy and very brightly colored. The illustrations are also bright and fun. With cute, easily recognizable animals and fun actions portrayed in the pictures, they will be quickly loved by all children. Plus, each character in both of these books are based on a true oddity that was found and researched.
Ripley's Believe It or Not! Wacky 1-2-3 is also a 6x6 inch book with a fun waved trim. It is also brightly colored with fun and entertaining characters. Inside you can count with your child. Not only is there a sing-song phrasing, but there are also 26 pages of cute items to count. Long enough to keep you and your child entertained.
What I love is that these can be used for more learning besides the alphabet and numbers. You can teach your child about colors, animals, and more with all the fun and busy illustrations. My girls, ages 2 and 6 years old, loved them. They had so much fun reading to each other and pointing out the different animals and colors and wacky instances.
