Natural and Organic Sun Protection That Really Is Safe and Wonderful!

Image
I recently got to try the Goddess Garden Sunny Natural Sunscreen through Swaggable and was so excited. I am a mom of 3 kids and we are pretty active. While being active, I also want my kids to b e safe and protected. But one of the things I use to protect my kids, is sunscreen, and most brands have come out to be more harmful than once seemed. This brand is not one of them. This brand is safe and effective and great not only for us but it is environmentally friendly too. It is made up of organic ingredients and biodegradable. I love that. That means I am protecting my kids and not trading one protection for another by placing harmful toxins on them, only for them to soak into their skin.   What you should be aware of is certain practices when using this. I suggest applying before you leave the house so that it takes the time of traveling to soak in for full protection. If not possible, wait the recommended time before sun ecposure. Apply quickly and re-apply after swimming or water

BE SAFE - TOMORROW IS HALLOWEEN!

Tomorrow is Halloween and whether you have young monsters you will be out with, a hot party to attend, or just staying home, here are some safety tips I think everyone should know. First, if you are going trick or treating, you want to make sure you and your kids are safe. *wear glowsticks *don't let kids under age of 12 go alone *always inspect candy or "treats" before letting them consume them *only trick or treat in places you know If you will be driving, or out and about: *Watch out extra carefully for pedestrians *kids don't always look when crossing street, especially when excited *be prepared for extra traffic *drive slower! Your stopping time increases with higher speeds For more information you can check out these 2 websites for more helpful tips and info. http://www.cdc.gov/family/halloween/ http://www.safekids.org/tip/halloween-safety-tips And remember to have fun! :0)

They are fun and easy to set up and play and challenging too! Lumpy Cubes This is a really cute and fun game. It is very easy to play and to set up. You give each player (up to 4 players) a set of the colored blocks which all have different faces on them, on both sides. So it can get confusing because the 2 sides has a different face. Then set the cards in the middle. The cards each have pictures of the blocks in a stack of four in a certain pattern that you are supposed to stack yours like. To play the game, flip one

Ukloo Treasure Hunt - Learn To Read and Seek Treasure!

Image
Ukloo is the cutest, most fun treasure hunt game ever! I love it. My kids and I had so much fun playing it. They kept wanting to find More treasure! Then when we ran out of candy, they kept playing it and my older son was trying to help his little sister play by reading to her or pointing at the poster so she could guess. It was a total blast! I love that it has 3 different levels and is made to help teach kids to read or read better. It makes it fun for the whole family. It comes with "clues" for the 3 different levels, as well as cards to write your own clues and cards to write your own surprises or winners prizes on.  You just pick the clues and the kids have to read them and guess the answer and then look for the next clue, until they find the TREASURE! The makers even have an info page where they list different types of prizes you can use, for example, candy, toys, etc! It comes with a poster of items on the cards to help kids identify item and words as well a

Scentalicious Bath Bombs Seriously Cool Fizzing Action!

Image
I recently got to try this Giant Bath Bomb Gift Set for Ladies Who Love to Relax in the Bath . "The " Pure Relaxation " Bath Set From Fizz Bath Bombs Includes 3 Massive Bombs in Relaxing, De-stressing and Calming Scents, Loaded with Shea Butter. Make It a Bath to Remember." I recently tried 2 of these 3. I still have one more to try. I wasn't sure what to expect exactly. But I thought they would just dissolve like other bath salt like products. These are really cool to watch. They literally fizz and dissolve. The lavendar one smelled so wonderful and was so soothing. But it also had seeds in it. It was the first one I tried and I saw the seeds, only a few at first but didn't realize how many seeds were in it. It fizzed away and more seeds came out. At first it was creepy. The fizzing made it look like bugs. It was kind of cool looking though and it turned my water blue and I felt like I was relaxing in a nature pond. But I could have done without th

Vicks Smart Temp Thermometer and FREE App!

Image
I recently got to try this new Vicks Smart Temp Thermometer and FREE App download for free, as part of a product trial, thanks to Influenster . To be honest, my first thought was like really? Another thermometer? What could set this apart from the rest? But I was actually positively surprised by how much I liked this. It is waaayyy different from the rest. First off the temp shows up on the app on your phone, not the thermometer. Secondly, the app let's you create profiles of the people in your family or the people you will use this on and keeps a history of temperatures. It also has other features like frequently asked questions, and other tabs. The thermometer itself is very simple and sleek. It has a button on the top to turn it on and once you sync with your phone and set it up, which is really quick and easy, it's so easy to use and is great for keeping track of when you or your child got sick and what the Temps were at which times, etc. I really liked how the thermomet

Love You More! Vintage Sign Review

Image
I love this " Love You More " sign. It is very cute! I was sooo excited when I got this! I wanted it as soon as I saw it! It is lightweight but sturdy and it comes with 2 metal bracket pieces on the back for easy hanging. It definitely has a pretty vintage, aged look and is attractive. I've seen lots of signs like this lately and this is like a new craze, vintage wood signs. I have another one that I got from my husband that says "I Love You To The Moon And Back" and now I got this one for him and my kids, to say "I Love You More!" My kids and I, especially, have this game we play where we keep telling each other, "I Love You More Than.." So this totally fit perfectly in our house. It's handmade, made of solid piece of cedar wood and is smooth. The actual size is 11.5" x 3.5" x 7.5" and it really does look great on my wall and I love the cream colored font too, it's fun and pretty. You can find this s

Tonight I am making a delicious chicken stuffing casserole for dinner and I thought I'd share the recipe. I've been making this for years and my whole family loves it. Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter 4 Chicken breasts (or 6 tenderloins) cut up into bite size pieces 2 cups of Chicken Stuffing or use whole box and mix in. (Your preference) 1 can of Chicken broth (or use chicken bullion cubes and water) 1 can of Cream of Chicken soup 1 can of Cream of Celery soup Grated cheese as desired (Other veggies optional: corn, green beans, carrots, etc) Also optional: 1/3 cup sour cream You can either mix chicken in with mix or layer at the bottom. Also, you can either put it in the pan as is, uncooked, or fry it up to cook it a little. I always fry it up a little then put it in. Prepare the stuffing as directed and melt butter into it for flavor if desired. And if using bullion cubes, bowl water and cubes til dissolved. In other bowl, mix the 2 cans of soup, broth and if applica

Sweet, Sweet Success at my Rhodes Bake-N-Serv Sponsored Party!

Image
Ok, so we have all tried cinnamon rolls before, whether made from kits or from scratch or in a store or restaurant. They are delicious! But have you tried Rhodes Bake-N-Serv ? Today, I threw a taste test party with my friends, where we got to try these out thanks to Tryazon and Rhodes Bake-N-Serv . I got Free coupons as well as other $1 off coupons for my guests, a baking mitt with their logo and a host guide with tips, ideas, and games as well as info on the company and their products. First off, I am going to say that I haven't ate a cinnamon roll this good in a long time. Honestly. I have tried other brands and their quick fix rolls and they just don't taste as good or as fresh and some leave a weird after taste and my friends agreed. OK so if you don't know the Rhodes brand, these are very high quality products at reasonable prices. This is not just your pop in the oven and be done in ten minutes kind of fixings, but they do have easy quick fix in the microwave cinn

Halloween Costumes! Store Bought or DIY ?

I have never been that super creative and crafty mom. Partly due to time because of work and other duties and partly because of lack of knowledge and supplies. I have always envied those who came up with these really fun and unique costumes. I've tried a couple times though. But my kids always want to be a superhero or a princess or some other famous figure. My son has been batman several times as well as other superheroes and a ninja and a military swat guy or something. He is going to be the Joker from the Dark Knight movies. My 4 year old daughter was a witch last year and has also been a princess and a kitty cat. This year she is going to be Minnie Mouse. My 9 month old baby girl has a ladybug costume that was given to her, but I kind of wanted something different. What have you done? What are your kid's favorite ideas? Got any tips? I love Pinterest but I feel overwhelmed. I can never choose just one and I never have the stuff I need and my creations never look like
